Hillary Won Popular Vote

Hillary actually won the popular vote, if you count Michigan – even if you give Obama the “undecided” votes. However, according to Real Clear Politics, officials didn’t release the numbers in Iowa, Nevada, Washington & Maine. Those states would likely give the edge to Obama, unless you count Michigan and don’t give Obama the “undecided.”

So if you do the Democratic thing and only count actual votes for actual candidates, Hillary wins.  She flat out wins.

Where are the cries of disenfranchisement?

The media ignored this fact.  If you check CBS News, CNN, etc, they trumpet the delegates but outright ignore the popular vote.

Obama won more delegates, but needed the help of superdelagates to cross the finish line ahead of Hillary.  His candidacy was handed to him - not by voters but by Democratic big guns.

The will of the voters was ignored.

Dear Court of Appeals, Money Discriminates Against Me, Too!

In one of those drunken stupors, a federal court ruled paper money discriminates against the blind because it all feels the same thereby "denying blind people meaningful access to the currency," according to the story.

Dear Court of Appeals, as a poor person, I also have been denied meaningful access to currency.  Mostly big bills.  Specifically $100 bills.  I have had very few in my pocket of late.  Please rule in my favor.

Then you can start your 12 step program.

The Anti-God God Movie

In one of those hilarious attempts at proving Jesus never existed, our Hollywood friends never left the writers' room.  In a hate-filled rant they call Christians hate-filled.

Ironic.  But that makes for great comedy.  Not what they were shooting for.

You must see the trailer.  While they bill this as an academic look at Jesus, it's just plain goofy.  If ever you wanted confirmation that the anti-Jesus folks were bewildered, you have it right here.  And the greatest sign of ignorance comes near the end when they explain that Christians don't know what to do with the fact that there was talk of a man doing all the things Jesus did LONG BEFORE HE DID IT!  Oh, my!

Had they spoken with an actual Christian, he or she might have pointed out that the Bible tells us about these things LONG BEFORE THEY HAPPENED.

It's called prophesy.

Good luck with your movie, guys.  May you make many more.

A Right to Loiter in England

There's an entertaining story out of England  where they've been using high frequency devices to encourage loitering teens to move on.

The pitch can be heard by those under 20, but not by older ears - we've spent too much time listening to Rock and Roll to have that kind of sensitivity.  Good thing we didn't listen to our parents or we, too, might be bothered by the noise.

Now some people want the devices banned.  It's cruel, they say, to target kids.

Liberals.

Can't we target anyone?

No.  Not according to them.  One activist insisted "I'm very concerned about what I see to be an emerging gap between the young and the old, the fears, the intolerance, even the hatred, of the older generation toward the young."

Hatred?  They stand in front of your store, spit, smoke and swear - driving away customers.  Do we have to tolerate everything?

Beside, libs, I thought smoking was now the ultimate sin.  What gives?

That same activist complained the device "has no place in a country that values its children and seeks to instill them with dignity and respect."

Soap box time:  A world where adults don't take charge is a world that doesn't value it's children.  Letting them loiter does not instill dignity or respect.  It tells them they're on their own - the adults have run away.

OJ Agent Cashes In

So OJ's former agent is publishing a book "How I Helped OJ Get Away with Murder."

Mike Gilbert was Simpson's sports agent for 18 years.  Now he's really cashing in.

The story says "Some of the proceeds from the book have been pledged to the Make-a-Wish foundation."  Just some?  That's Gilbert's way of diverting attention from his blatant attempt to make money off of his low-life, creepy efforts to put a murderer back on the streets.

"Some proceeds" isn't repentance.  How about all?  How about begging for forgiveness from the families crushed first by the murder of their children then by the release of that murderer?

Kids Make No Sense

I'm not sure why my kids want to grow up.

They're 8, 6, 4 and almost two.  The eight and six-year-old have no desire to work around the house.  No desire for responsibility.

The four and two-year-old don't know squat, so I'll leave them out of this discussion.

The older two see me and Mom work around the house constantly.  She's always cleaning, I'm always fixing something.

With four kids, there are always plenty of things to fix and clean.

So, of course, we want them to learn responsibility.  To do that, we enlist their help.  And you'd think someone shot them in the back.  DOWN they go, in mental agony.  "I can't.  It's too hard.  I want to play."

Yet, they can't wait to get older.  Can't wait to grow up.

They look forward to every birthday - a step closer to adulthood.

They watch what we do, don't want to do it, but want to get where we are.

As a kid, I remember noting this paradox.  Well, not using that word - even in my imagination.  Regardless, I wanted to be older.  But everybody older wanted to be younger.

So at a very young age - probalby around seven, I developed an answer to a question I would hear a thousand times before I hit 18:  "What do you want to be when you get older?"

"Younger."

Three Parent Embryo Formed, Killed by Scientists

The disturbing story celebrates the forming of an embryo that they believe could lead to a cure for all sorts of innate trouble.  By combining two women and one man, scientists may be able to remove inherited problems.

But then the story coughs up this sentence:   “The embryos then began to develop normally, but were destroyed within six days.”

Distroyed.  That's what you do to embryos.  Like a toy car.  A human life is snuffed out.

Kids in Third World Countries Getting Fake Superbowl T-Shirts

It's amazing how quickly they pop out the winning team merchandise... but did you ever wonder what happens to the losing team merchandise?  As you suspected, it's mass produced, then quickly hidden away.

In the case of the New England Patriots, there's a rather hefty stack of 19-0 t-shirts heading overseas

To kids who likely can't read.

World Vision will be distributing the embarassment.  Perhaps one of Tom Brady's children will get one.
